Beschrijving

Deze wijn met een dieprode kleur heeft een zachte fluwelige neus van rijpe pruimen met een erg zachte houttoets. Dit resulteert in een mooi versmolten wijn met een zachte aanvang en veel intensiteit. TECHNICAL FILE On the banks of the River Duero, the river that irrigates the largest number of quality vineyards in the world, do we find the vines that have given rise to this wine that belongs to the Toro appellation. The vineyards from which this grape comes stand on hillsides exposed to the evening sun, thus enabling them to make the most of mild evening temperatures and the maximum brightness of the sun, which in turn makes it possible to achieve a greater percentage of extract and colouring matter in the skin. Having matured for 5 months in oak barrels, the distinctive character of the wine is further reasserted. Indeed, it perfectly blends the wood with the fruitiness of this tempranillo grape variety — “Tinta de Toro”. The foregoing results in a structured wine, with an intense nose and lingering finish. Harvesting took place at the end of September, the point of maximum grape ripeness. The local winemaking tradition of the area is complemented by modern installations both of which contribute to the meticulous elaboration process. Consequently, the grapes are macerated in cold in stainless steel tubs, while fermentation is completed under controlled temperatures. –The wine is then stored in American and French oak barrels from Bordeaux (in the proportion most suited to the wine) where it matures for 5 months. After bottling, it is then left to settle for the required amount of time.
