De geschiedenis van Groot Constantia gaat terug tot 1685. De wijnen van Constantia werden wereldwijd bekend. Er werden kleine hoeveelheden geproduceerd en de wijn was zo duur dat alleen Aristocraten de wijn konden kopen. Het wijnhuis heeft circa 167 hectare grond waarvan 86 hectare beplant is met wijnstokken. Op deze wijngaarden zijn de druivensoorten S\u00e9millon, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Muscat de Frontignon, Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Shiraz, Touriga Nacional en Malbec aangeplant. Het wijnhuis is in handen geweest van diverse personen waaronder Simon van der Stel en is sinds 1993 eigendom van de Groot Constantia Trust.<\/p>\n

Helder lichtgeel, mooi blinkend met een heerlijk bouquet dat het glas uit danst. Fruitig met toetsen van tropisch fruit, peer en groene appel. In de mond geeft hij een zachte aanzet die resulteert in een mooie lange afdronk. Frisse zuren.
